HOW TO PLACE A CALL
Using the Service at Home
Using 18500 Service
You can use the
service
in the following way when you have
registered your BT landline number:
1) Dial: 18500 (FREE from BT
landlines),
2) enter the destination number,
including the full local, national
or international dialling code and
number in one continuous string E.g.
18500 00 44 20 7536 6476
.
Please note the following:
(i)
Please do not press the
dial or enter key after entering
the destination number.
(ii)
Please do not select the
destination numbers from the
contact list/phone book of your
phones/mobiles and press
enter/dial as this will generate a
new call which will be charged by
your phone/mobile operator.
The 18500 facility can only be used
from a BT landline registered with
our service.
Using a Registered Mobile Phone

If your mobile is registered with
LYCATALK Account then:
1)
Dial: 0800 012 0002, 0800 012
0033 or the 0207 132 0032 access
number,
2)
wait for the prompt
3)
Enter the destination number,
including the full local, national
or international dialling code or
number followed by the * key. E.g.
0800 012 0002 + 00 31 20 656 6476 *
4)
Please do not press the
dial or enter key after entering
the destination number.
5)
Please do not select the
destination numbers from the
contact list/phone book of your
phones/mobiles and press
enter/dial as this will generate a
new call which will be charged by
your phone/mobile operator.
We recommend that you use the 0207
132 0032 access number for placing
calls from your mobile as many
mobile operators do not charge for
these numbers and consider them in
the inclusive minutes added to your
mobile contract. Please check the
rates of dialling the access numbers
from your mobile operators.
Using a Mobile Phone and/or Fixed
Line Phone that is not registered

1, If you are calling from a fixed
line or mobile then you simply dial
either 0800 012 0002, 0800 012 0033
or the 0207 132 0032 access numbers.
2, You will be asked to enter your
unique PIN number if your phone
number is not registered to your
account.
3, Enter your PIN number
4, The system may prompt you to
enter your destination number
Enter the destination number,
including the full local, national
or international dialling code or
number followed by the * key. E.g.
0800 012 0002 + 00 31 20 656 6476 *
Attention! To call any destination
numbers within the U.K. please enter
the numbers without using the
country code. E.g. to enter any
landline in Manchester, please
enter 0161 xxx- xxxx and to call
mobiles just dial 07xxxxxxxxx after
the destination number prompt.
For quicker access of our service we
have an easy to dial, FREE access
number, 14500
If you have a BT line and pay line
rental as well as call charges only
to BT, dial the 14500 access number
(enter PIN number if required) and
then dial the destination number
followed by the * key.
For e.g.
1.
Dial 14500
2.
Dial your PIN (if your phone
is not registered)
3.
Dial your destination number
followed by the * key.
The 14500 facility can only be used
from a BT landline.
Call charges will be the same as
applicable to the 0800 or 18500
access numbers as given on the rates
page.

Once you are connected to the
service use the following feature
keys to enhance your LYCATALK
experience.
For a Follow on call : # #
Top up your account by phone - * 3
(via registered phone and credit /
debit card)

For faster connection - Press *
after dialling the destination
number
For speed dial Press * after
dialling your speed dial number, for
e.g. if your destination number is
registered at no. 3, dial 3* and it
will attempt to connect immediately.
Please note that some services would
not work if your balance is 0.00
Accessing your account via
website:

Simply log on to
www.lycatalk.com,
2).
Click on Access your
Lycatalk Account and enter your
account number and your password.
3).
This will lead you to the
Account information page
4).
You can then edit your
account details by clicking on edit
registration details,
5).
view your call history by
clicking Call History,
6).
top up your account by
clicking Top-up Account,
7).
Register phone numbers by clicking
Add/Edit CLI Numbers
Please Note:
If you use the service from a
mobile:
Your mobile service provider may
charge you for using our 0800
0120002, 0800 012 0033 or the 0207
132 0032 access numbers. Please
check with your provider for the
current rates.
If you have a Pay-as-you-go phone,
you will have to top-up your mobile
phone to dial these access numbers.
For contract phones we recommend
that you use the 0207 132 0032
access number for placing calls from
your mobile as many mobile operators
include these numbers in the
inclusive minutes added to your
mobile contract. Please check with
your provider for current rates.
From landlines:
Usually dialling 14500 and 0800
access numbers are free from all
landlines.
You can also use your off-peak free
local minutes to dial the 0207
access numbers after checking with
your service provider. Note that
national rates may be charged when
calling from outside the 0207 region
but within the UK and likewise an
international rate may be charged if
calling from another country.
How to
top-up:

a) IVR top-up:
i) Dial the access number
ii) You will hear the prompt to
enter your destination number (if
your number is not registered, it
will ask you for your PIN, enter PIN
number)
iii) Press *3 on the destination
prompt.
iv) You will hear a prompt to enter
the last 6- digits of your credit
card number
v) Press 1 to confirm and continue
vi) Enter the payment amount on the
prompt
vii) Press 1 to confirm the payment
viii) Wait for the confirmation
prompt and payment reference number
prompt.
ix) You will receive the updated
balance prompt
x) Enter the destination number
after the destination prompt.

You can top-up your account by
calling our customer services on

Please ensure you have the following
details with you:
i)
Your account number
ii)
Password set by you when you opened
the account]
Subject to verifications details
provided by you, the customer
services will attempt to top-up your
account as per your needs and as per
our policies and procedures.
c) On-line Top-up via website:

You can also top up your account
online. All you need to do is:
1) log in to your account by
entering your account number and
password,
2) click on Top-up Account
3) Enter the last 6-digits of
your registered credit card or debit
card number, you wish to use
4) click RETRIEVE
5) Select the type of card
6) enter the amount you wish
to top up your account by
7) Ensure all mandatory
fields are filled
8) Click Proceed to move to
the next page and Proceed to
confirm.
All online payments are made over
secure connections.
d) Auto
top-up

You can use your debit / credit card
to automatically top your account
up. This means that when your
account reaches a certain level -
usually 5. We will automatically
top up your account with a pre-set
amount of money. All you need is to
call customer service and they will
set your account to auto top up or
follow the steps:
1) log in to your account by
entering your account number and
password,
2) Check automatic recharge
button.
3) Enter the amount you want your
account to be automatically
recharged as it reaches to that
amount e.g. say 10 as your account
balance will reach 10 it will be
automatically topped up by the
preset amount of money That has been
agreed and preset by you. Please
note the minimum amount required for
Top-up is 10.
4). Enter the amount you want your
account to be topped up by.
3) Click Save.

Conference
call:

You can use LYCATALK Conference Call
mechanism to talk to up to three
people all at the same time!
E.g If you may need to speak to your
friends/ family in three different
countries/cities/places, with
LycaTalk you can do now by using our
conference call service.
1.
Dial the access number
2.
Enter PIN (if required) and then
enter destination no.1 (line 1)
3.
After you are connected to line 1,
to get connected to destination no.2
and are on call with (line1), simply
press
**
4.
Wait for the prompt for entering
destination no.
5.
on receiving the destination prompt,
enter the destination no. 2 (line2)
6.
Once line 2 is connected it will
automatically join your call.
7.
Repeat the process 3-6 to connect to
the destination no.3 (line 3)
8.
You can talk to up to three people
simultaneously - simply repeat the
process above to add destination
no.3 (C)
9.
If you wish to disconnect one of the
callers just
(a) Press *1 for disconnecting line
1,
(b) *2 for disconnecting line 2
and
(c) *3 for disconnecting line 3.
To connect to a fourth destination,
please disconnect one of the
connected lines, i.e. line 1,
line 2, line 3.
For e.g. If you want to connect to
the fourth destination, you have to
disconnect with one of the
destinations by following the
procedure mentioned in 9. above.
Please note:

separately for calling each
destination number according to our
applicable tariff and the total will
be deducted from your account
balance.

You need to ensure if all the
destinations would answer their
calls. If you are connected to line
1 and line 2 and if line 3 is
not reachable/ not answered, it will
keep ringing until you disconnect
the entire call.
Speed dial:

Speed dial service is an excellent
service to make quicker calls.
This can be done by first
registering your destination numbers
with our services online or with
customer services.
You can register up to 9 destination
numbers.
Please follow the below mentioned
process to use speed dial service
after registering your number:
a.
Dial access number
b.
Enter PIN number (from
unregistered phones)
c.
Enter speed dial Key (1.9)
when you are prompted to enter your
destination number.
d.
Press * after entering your
speed enter number (Key),
for e.g. if your destination number
is registered at no. 1, dial 1* and
it will attempt to connect
immediately.
